It depends on your consumption and your roof. Our calculator recommends a suitable capacity in seconds.
A battery increases your self-consumption but is not mandatory. It is worthwhile if you consume mostly in the evening.
A due-south orientation is optimal, but east/west remains very effective in Luxembourg.
Mounting the panels usually takes 1 to 3 days depending on the size of the installation.
Modern panels are guaranteed for 25 years and keep producing beyond that.
Financing
It is a low-interest loan, sometimes interest-free depending on income, to finance the share not covered by grants.
Self-consumption is generally more profitable. Selling back via the feed-in tariff (approx. €0.1374/kWh) remains an option for surplus.
The payback period is often between 7 and 11 years after grants, depending on your consumption.
